HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 4414 RESOLUTION NO. 4414 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH TO PROVIDE FOR CHANGING THE NAME OF MANSION AVENUE, FROM ITS POINT OF ORIGIN AT GOLDENWEST STREET TO ITS INTERSECTION WITH SEVENTEENTH STREET, TO YORKTOWN AVENUE WHEREAS, Yorktown Avenue has been precise planned and is to be constructed as a primary street running from Goldenwest Street on the west to the city' s easterly boundary; and The Fire Chief has recommended that Mansion Avenue, from its point of origin at Goldenwest Street to its intersection with Seventeenth Street, be renamed Yorktown Avenue for the purpose of uniformity and to reduce the number of address changes resulting from such street name change; and The City Council finds that such change would be a conve- nience to the public, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, pursuant to California Government Code Section 34092, that Mansion Avenue, from its point of origin at Goldenwest Street to its intersection with Seventeenth Street , be and the same is hereby renamed Yorktown Avenue.
