HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 4420 RESOLUTION NO. 4420 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH TERMINATING ON OR ABOUT MARCH 1, 1977 THE JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT WHICH ESTABLISHED THE SANTA ANA RIVER/SANTIAGO CREEK GREENBELT COMMISSION WHEREAS, the City of Huntington Beach has been an active member of the Santa Ana River/Santiago Creek Greenbelt Commission since March 1973; and The Greenbelt Implementation Plan has since been completed by Greenbelt Commission staff, after preparation of the indi- vidual implementation plans for each segment of the river by the appropriate jurisdiction; and The focus of the Greenbelt effort has now shifted from the Greenbelt Commission and supporting staff to the individual jurisdictions to implement their appropriate segment of the plan; and The Greenbelt Commission has recommended to the member cities that each city council adopt a resolution for the termination of the Joint Powers Agreement ; and The desired termination should occur on or about March 1 1977 to allow completion of all action legally required for such termination, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach hereby elects to terminate the Joint Powers Agreement , effective on or about March 1, 1977 .
