A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF HUNTINGTON BEACH APPROVING THE APPLICATION
FOR BICYCLE FUNDS AUTHORIZED UNDER SB 821 AND
APPROVING THE ADOPTION OF ITS BICYCLE PLAN
WHEREAS, SB 821 provides that 2 percent of each county ' s
total local transportation fund be annually set aside and used
to fund the development of bicycle and pedestrian facilities ;
and
The City of Huntington Beach has planned a bikeway system
in conformance with specifications of the California Highway
Design Manual and Regional Transportation Plan; and
The City of Huntington Beach desires to construct the
bikeway system within the city utilizing funds available under
SB 821,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington
Beach does resolve as follows :
1. To adopt the bikeway plan in conformance with the
specifications of the California Highway Design Manual and
Regional Transportation.
2 . To designate and authorize the Director of Public
Works , or his authorized representative, to act as the City ' s
contact person and as the City ' s authorized signature .
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 21st
day of March, 1977 .

I, ALICIA M. WENTWORTH, the duly elected, qualified City
Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach, and ex-officio Clerk of the
City Council of said City, do hereby certify that the whole number of
members of the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach is seven;
that the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative
vote of more than a majority of all the members of said City Council
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 21st day
of March 19 77 by the following voter
