HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 4516 RESOLUTION NO. 4516 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH REQUESTING THE COUNTY OF ORANGE TO ALLOCATE ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF MAGNOLIA STREET FROM HAMILTON AVENUE TO PACIFIC COAST HIGHWAY, ARTERIAL HIGHWAY FINANCING PROGRAM PROJECT NO. 620 WHEREAS, on September 18, 1972 , the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach adopted Resolution No . 3569 requesting the County of Orange to include the development of Magnolia Street within the Arterial Highway Financing Program; and The original estimate for the improvement of Magnolia Street from Hamilton Avenue to Pacific Coast Highway (AHFP Project No. 620) was $320,000; however, upon completion of the project, the final construction cost was $551,315 . 06, of which $419,956 .30 were eligible AHFP project cost; and The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach had orig- inally requested that the Orange County Board of Supervisors allocate one half of $320,000 or $160,000 from the Arterial Highway Financing Program, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach hereby requests the Orange County Board of Supervisors to allocate to said AHFP Project No . 620 the sum of $209,978 .15 in lieu of the $1601000 previously requested from the Arterial Highway Financing Program. Said amount is to be matched by funds from the City of Huntington Beach.
