A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF
AGREEMENTS WITH THE MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES
ASSOCIATION AND THE POLICE OFFICERS ASSOCIATION
FOR PRINTING SERVICES
WHEREAS, the employee associations occasionally require
printed material within the course and scope of their organi-
zational functions; and
The City of Huntington Beach has adequate facilities for
handling association printing materials; and
The employee associations and the City are desirous of
entering into an agreement whereby the associations would
reimburse the City for the cost of such printing,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Huntington Beach as follows :
SECTION 1 . The agreement with the Huntington. Beach
Municipal Employees Association, Attachment 1 hereto, and the
agreement with the Huntington Beach Police Officers Association,
Attachment 2 hereto, are authorized and approved.
SECTION 2 . The City Administrator is authorized to
execute the agreements on behalf of the City.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 17th
day of October, 1977 .

Dear Mr. Ellstrom :
This is a letter of agreement between the City and the
Municipal Employees Association for provision of printing
services by the City to MEA. It is understood that MEA' s
printing needs are normally low quantity , approximately
5- 20 originals per month with about 20 copies per original .
Occasional,ly, MEA may require as many as 200-300 copies per
original .
It is understood that the following quideline_s will apply
to the arrangement for printing services :
1 . Prices for materials charged to MEA will be according
to the attached schedule . Labor charges will be
added based upon the hourly wage of the employee
performing the work. Minimum labor charge will be
15 minutes , and time-and-a half will be charged for
work performed on overtime.
2 . The City will bill MEA monthly for services rendered.

MEA shall remit payment within 15 days of receipt of
each bill .
3. Requests for service will be filled as soon as possible ..
However, MEA needs must follow City needs in priority.
Therefore , the City will , whenever possible , fill MEA
needs within five working days without overtime charges ;
but MEA requirements for services in less than five
working days may require overtime .

subject to change or revocation at any time.

on behalf of MEA of all the terms contained herein.

Dear Dave :
This is a letter of agreement between the City and the Police
Officers Association for provision of printing services by the
City to POA. It is understood that POA' s printing needs are
normally low quantity, approximately five originals per month
with about 2SO copies per original. Occasionally, POA may re-
quire as many as 20 originals per month with 250 copies per
original .
It is understood that the following guidelines will apply to
the arrangement for printing services :
1 . Prices for materials charged to POA will be according to
the attached schedule . Labor charges will be added based
upon the hourly wage of the employee performing the work.
Minimum labor charge will be 1S Minutes , and time-and-a-
half will be charged for work performed on overtime .
