HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 4570 i RESOLUTION NO. 4570 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH SPONSORING THE DELINQUENCY INTERVENTION PROGRAM WHICH IS ADMINISTERED BY THE ORANGE COUNTY CRIMINAL JUSTICE PLANNING WHEREAS, the City of Huntington Beach desires to undertake a certain project designated as Delinquency Intervention Program to be funded in part from funds made available through the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968, PL 90-351, as amended, (hereafter referred to as the Crime Control Act) administered by the Office of Criminal Justice Planning (hereafter referred to as OCJP) NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach is authorized, on its behalf to submit the attached Application for Grant for Law Enforcement Purposes to OCJP and is authorized to execute on behalf of the Huntington Beach City School District the Grant Award for Law Enforcement Purposes including any extensions or amendments thereof in the event that the State Criminal Council consents to fund the project. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the applicant agrees to provide all matching funds required for said project (including any extension or amendment thereof) under the Crime Control Act and the rules and regulations of OCJP and the Law Enforcement Assistance Administration and that cash will be appropriated as required thereby. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds received hereunder shall not be used to supplant law enforcement expenditures controlled by this body.
