A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF HUNTINGTON BEACH ADOPTING THE TRAILS IMPLE-
MENTATION PLAN AND NEGATIVE DECLARATION NO . 77-135
AND DELETING THE RECREATIONAL TRAILS ELEMENT FROM
THE GENERAL PLAN
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach
desires to provide an implementing program for the establish-
ment and maintenance of bicycle trails and equestrian trails
within said city; and
The General Plan' s Circulation Element provides direction
for development of non-motorized transportation facilities
within the city of Huntington Beach; and
The General Plan's Open Space and Conservation Element
provides direction for development of recreational uses within
open space areas; and
The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach in adopting
said Trails Implementation Plan would promote the health, welfare
and convenience of the general public ; and
A public hearing concerning the Trails Implementation Plan
and Negative Declaration No . 77-135 was held by the Planning
Commission on December 205 1977, and said Plan and Negative
Declaration was adopted by said Commission and recommended for
adoption by the City Council,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Huntington Beach that it hereby adopts said Trails
Implementation Plan and Negative Declaration No. 77-135 and
deletes the Recreational Trails Element from the General Plan.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 6th
day of March., 1978.

that the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative
vote of more than a majority of all the members of said City Council
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 6th day
of March 19 78 , by the following vote:
