Home My WebLink AboutCity Council - 4599 RESOLUTION NO. 4599 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH DESIGNATING POLLING PRECINCTS AND ELECTION OFFICERS FOR THE MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN SAID CITY ON TUESDAY, THE 11TH DAY OF APRIL, 1978 WHEREAS, under the provisions of the Charter of the City of Huntington Beach, a regular general municipal election shall be held on the llth day of April, 1978, for the election of four (4) members of the City Council of said city for the full term of four ( 4) years, and a City Attorney of said city for the full term of .four (4) years; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does hereby resolve as follows : SECTION 1. That for the purpose of holding said regular general municipal election, there shall be established fifty- nine (59) voting precincts consisting of 172 of the regular election precincts in the City of Huntington Beach established for the holding of state and county elections , as said regular election precincts exist on the date of adoption of this resolution. That the polling places for the respective pre- cincts shall be the places hereinafter designated; and that the persons hereinafter named, being competent and qualified electors and residents of said city and of their respective voting precincts, are hereby appointed officers of election for their respective voting precincts and they shall hold said election and make return thereof in the manner provided by law. That the compensation of the persons herein- before named as election officers is hereby fixed at the sum of Twenty-nine Dollars ($29) for each inspector and Twenty-four Dollars ($24) for each judge and clerk for said election. The rental for each of such polling places , where a charge is made, shall be the sum of Fifteen Dollars ($15) for said election. When required, the compensation for messengers shall be Four and 50/100ths Dollars ($4. 50) per hour for said election.
