HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 4651 l — f rL'H.�e,arr4 RESOLUTION NO. 4651 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH EXTENDING EXISTING MEMORANDA OF UNDERSTANDING FOR AN ADDITIONAL THIRTY DAYS WITH THE HUNTINGTON BEACH MANAGEMENT EMPLOYEES ' ORGANI- ZATION, THE HUNTINGTON BEACH FIREMEN'S ASSOCIATION AND THE HUNTINGTON BEACH MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES' ASSOCIATION WHEREAS, by Resolutions No. 4634 and 4636 , adopted on July 3, 1978 and July 17, 1978 respectively, the City Council extended the memoranda of understanding with the Huntington Beach Management Employees' Organization, the Huntington Beach Firemen' s Association and the Huntington Beach Municipal Employees ' Association for thirty days ; and It is desirable to extend such memoranda of understanding with the aforementioned employee organizations in order to continue to meet and confer so that matters may be resolved to the mutual satisfaction of the parties concerned, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach that it does hereby approve extending present memoranda of understanding through August 31, 1978 with the Huntington Beach Management Employees ' Organization, the Huntington Beach Firemen' s Association and the Huntington Beach Municipal Employees ' Association. AMENDMENT TO MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA AND THE HUNTINGTON BEACH FIREMEN'S ASSOCIATION (EXECUTED TO BECOME EFFECTIVE JULY 1 , 1976) In order to continue and maintain harmonious relations between the parties to the aforementioned agreement during a period of financial uncertainty for the City of Huntington Beach and employees represented by the Association, the parties agree to amend the provisions of Article 28 of said Agreement (TERM OF MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT) , as amended on June 29 , 1978 , to cause the term of the Memorandum of Agreement to end at midnight on August 31 , 1978 instead of July 31 , 1978 . All other terms and conditions of said Memorandum of Agreement shall remain in full force and effect during the extended term. In the event of an increase in health insurance premiums during this extension period, the City will pay such increase provided that such additional contributions shall continue only for the duration of the term of the amended agreement. This amendment is conditioned upon approval by City Council . DATED: July 25 , 1978 CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH BY Director of aPerViopnnel and Labor Relations HUNTINGTON BEACH FIREMEN' S ASSOCIATION BY ENT AMENDMENT TO MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA AND THE HUNTINGTON BEACH MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES ' ASSOCIATION (EXECUTED TO BECOME EFFECTIVE JUNE 25 , 1977) In order to continue and maintain harmonious relations between the parties to the aforementioned agreement during a period of financial uncertainty for the City of Huntington Beach and employees represented by the Association, the parties agree to amend the provisions of Article 23 of said Agreement (TERM OF MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT) to cause the term of the Memorandum of Agreement to end at midnight on August 31 , 1978 instead of July 31 , 1978 . All other terms and conditions of said Memorandum of Agreement shall remain in full force and effect during the extended term. This amendment is conditioned upon approval by City Council . All other terms and conditions of said Memorandum of Agreement shall remain in full force and effect during the extended term. In the event of an increase in health insurance premiums during this extension period, the City will pay such increase provided that such additional contributions shall continue only for the duration of the term of the amended agreement.
