HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 4676 RESOLUTION NO. 4676 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH ESTABLISHING A NEW SCHEDULE OF RATES FOR TAXICAB COMPANIES IN SAID CITY WHEREAS, a petition having been presented for an increase in rate schedule for taxicab companies operating within the city of Huntington Beach; and Pursuant to Section 5. 48 .100 of the Huntington Beach Municipal Code, the City Council has considered in public hearing such petition for modification of existing rates for passenger fares ; and The City Council finding that such increase in the schedule of rates for such taxicab companies is equitable in the circum- stances , NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach that it does establish the following schedule of rates for taxicab companies operating in the city of Huntington Beach: . 1. One dollar ($1) for the first one-fifth (1/5) mile. 2. Twenty cents ($. 20) for each additional one-fifth (1/5) mile. 3. Nine dollars ($g) per hour waiting time and traffic delay. 4. No charge will be made for additional passengers , and five (5) passengers may ride for the price of one. 5. There shall be a one dollar ($1) service charge for cancellation after taxicab has been dispatched pursuant to request . 6. There shall be no charge for the first three minutes while waiting to pick up passengers pursuant to request for service. /ahb 1. Resolution No . 4314 and all resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 16 day of October 1978 .
