HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 4695 RESOLUTION NO. 4695 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH DESIGNATING "NO PARKING" AREAS ON CERTAIN PUBLIC STREETS WITHIN THE CITY FOR STREET SWEEPING PURPOSES WHEREAS, pursuant to authority granted in California Vehicle Code Section 22507 and Huntington Beach Municipal Code Section 10. 40.050(d) , the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach in Resolution No. 4531 has designated certain public streets in the city of Huntington Beach as "No Parking" areas on specified days and hours noted therein; and In a continuing effort to include all city streets in the street sweeping program, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach hereby designates additional public streets in the city of Huntington Beach, more particularly described on Exhibits A through E, attached hereto and made a part hereof, as "No Parking" areas on those days and during those hours noted herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach as follows : SECTION 1. Pursuant to California Vehicle Code Section 22507 and Huntington Beach Municipal Code Section 10. 40. 050(d) , provisions of Chapter 10 . 40, Huntington Beach Municipal Code shall apply to those public streets contained in "No Parking" areas shown on Exhibits A through E, attached hereto and made a part hereof, and more commonly described as : Area 1: An area enclosed by Edinger Avenue on the north, Springdale Street on the east , Heil Avenue on the south and Graham Street on the west (Exhibit A) . Area 2 : An area enclosed by Heil Avenue on the north, Springdale Street on the east , Warner Avenue on the south, and Graham Street on the west (Exhibit A) . Area 4: An area enclosed by Edinger Avenue on the north, Goldenwest Street on the east , Heil Avenue on the south, and Edwards Street on the west (Exhibit B) . Area 5 : An area enclosed by Heil Avenue on the north, Edwards Street on the east , Warner Avenue on the south, and Springdale Street on the west (Exhibit B) . Area 6 : An area enclosed by Heil Avenue on the north, Goldenwest Street on the east, Warner Avenue on the south, and Edwards Street on the west (Exhibit B) . Area 7: An area enclosed by Warner Avenue on the north, Springdale Street on the east , Slater Avenue on the south, and Graham Street on the west (Exhibit C ) . Area 8: An area enclosed by Slater Avenue on the north, Springdale Street on the east , Talbert Avenue on the southeast, Bershire Drive and Selkirk Drive on the southwest, and Graham Street on the west (Exhibit C) . Area 9 : An area enclosed by Warner Avenue on the north, Edwards Street on the east , Slater Avenue on the south, and Springdale Street on the west (Exhibit D) . Area 10 : An area enclosed by Warner Avenue on the north, Goldenwest Street on the east , Slater Avenue on the south, and Edwards Street on the west (Exhibit D) . Area 11: An area enclosed by Slater Avenue on the north, Edwards Street on the east, Varsity Drive on the southeast, Talbert Avenue on the southwest, and Springdale Street on the west (Exhibit D) . Area 12 : An area enclosed by Slater Avenue on the north, Goldenwest Street on the east , Talbert Avenue on the south, and Edwards Street on the west (Exhibit D) . Area 13: An area enclosed by Varsity Drive on the north, Edwards Street on the east , Talbert Avenue on the south, and Varsity Drive on the northwest (Exhibit E) . Area 14: An area enclosed by Central Park Drive on the north, Cliffview Lane on the east , Lakeview Drive on the south- east, Inlet Drive on the south, and Edwards Street on the west (Exhibit E) . 2. SECTION 2. Parking shall be prohibited in the following areas during times set forth herein, and as noted on the attached exhibits: (a) In Areas 1 and 4 on the first and third Thursday of each month between the hours of 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. , as shown on Exhibits A and B attached hereto. (b) In Areas 2 and 6 on the first and third Thursday of each month between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. , as shown on Exhibits A and B attached hereto. (c) In Areas 3 and 5 on the first and third Thursday of each month between the hours of 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. , as shown on Exhibit B attached hereto. (d) In Areas 7 and 8 on the second and fourth Thursday of each month between the hours of 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. , as shown on Exhibit C attached hereto. (e) In Areas 9 , 11 and 13 on the second and fourth Thursday of each month between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. , as shown on Exhibits D and E attached hereto. (d) In Areas 10 , 12 and 14 on the second and fourth Thursday of each month between the hours of 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. , as shown on Exhibits D and E attached hereto. SECTION 3. This resolution shall not apply to any of the areas described in Section 1 of this resolution until signs or markings giving adequate notice of the parking prohibitions have been placed, or to the operator of any commercial vehicle making pickup or delivery of goods, wares or merchandise, or pro- viding maintenance or repair services to any building or struc- ture located in the restricted areas as set out herein.
