A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HUNTINGTON BEACH INDICATING TO THE ORANGE COUNTY
TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION THAT THE CITY OF
HUNTINGTON BEACH IS WILLING AND ABLE TO IMPLEMENT
THE DEVELOPMENT OF WARNER AVENUE FROM NEWLAND
STREET TO ALGONQUIN STREET WITHIN THE ORANGE
COUNTY FEDERAL AID URBAN PROGRAM AND WILL INCLUDE
IN THE APPROPRIATE FUTURE BUDGETS THE NECESSARY
MATCHING FUNDS
WHEREAS, the City of Huntington Beach desires to improve
Warner Avenue from Newland Street to Algonquin Street; and
The City of Huntington Beach has requested the Orange
County Transportation Commission to include the improvement of
Warner Avenue within the 1979-82 Orange County Federal Aid
Urban (FAU) Program; and
The Orange County Transportation Commission requires an
action from the City Council indicating that the City of
Huntington Beach is willing and able to implement the improvement
of Warner Avenue in the FAU Program and will include in the ap-
propriate future budgets the necessary matching funds,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Huntington Beach hereby takes the following action:
1. The City of Huntington Beach is willing and able to im-
plement the improvement of Warner Avenue from Newland Street to
Algonquin Street with the 1979-82 Orange County FAU Program; and
2. The City of Huntington Beach intends to use available
city Gas Tax Funds as the necessary local matching funds for the
project; and
3. The Gas Tax Funds are presently identified for inclusion
in future budgets which coincide with the fiscal year for which
the project 's phase of work is programmed. These amounts are as
follows : FY 1982 ($603000 ) , FY 1983 ( $59 ,000) ; and

It is the intent of the City Council to make whatever pro-
visions necessary to insure that FAU matching funds for future
years are available to support the project .
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 7th
day of May 1979.

Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach, and ex-officio Clerk of the
City Council of said City, do hereby certify that the whole number of
members of the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach is seven;
that the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative
vote of more than a majority of all the members of said City Council
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 7th day
of May 19 79 by the following vote:
