A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF HUNTINGTON BEACH GRANTING A HOLD HARMLESS
TO CAL TRANS IN CONNECTION WITH THE CLOSURE
OF BEACH BOULEVARD DUE TO A STORM DRAIN CON-
STRUCTION PROJECT
WHEREAS, the city has entered into an agreement with Mola
Development Corporation for the construction of a storm drain
arising out of the development of Tract No . 10226 ; and
WHEREAS, the construction of the storm drain will cause
Beach Boulevard to be closed for four or five days causing
traffic to be detoured into city streets from Beach Boulevard;

WHEREAS, the State of California/Department of Transporta-
tion has requested that the city hold CalTrans harmless for
damages to the city ' s streets resulting from traffic being

detoured from Beach Boulevard,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Huntington Beach as follows :
City shall save and hold CalTrans harmless from any or all
claims or causes of action for damages to the street system of
the City of Huntington Beach resulting from traffic being de-
toured onto city streets from Beach Boulevard due to closure
of Beach Boulevard caused by construction of a storm drain ad-
jacent to Tract No . 10226 . Construction is to commence on or
about May 7 , 1979 , causing the closure of Beach Boulevard for
approximately five (5) days .
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held the 7th'.
day of May 1979 .

that the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative
vote of more than a majority of all the members of said City Council
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 7th day
of May 19 79 by the following voter
