A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDERING THE VACATION OF
CERTAIN PORTIONS OF LAND LOCATED NORTH AND
SOUTH OF PALM AVENUE BETWEEN TWELFTH AND
THIRTEENTH STREETS
WHEREAS , on December 41, 1979 the City Council of the City
of Huntington Beach duly adopted Resolution No . 4811 declaring
its intention to vacate certain portions of parcels of land lo-
cated north and south of Palm Avenue between Twelfth and Thir-
teenth Streets and referring to maps or plans on file in the
office of the City Clerk for particulars as to the proposed va-
cation; and
Said resolution fixed the time and place of January 7, 1980
at the hour of 7: 30 p .m. , or as soon thereafter as the matter
could be heard, in the Council Chambers in the Civic Center, for
hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed
vacation, which time was not less than fifteen (15) days from the
passage of said resolution. Notices of the proposed vacation
were posted conspicuously along Palm Avenue between Twelfth and
Thirteenth Streets , and such notices were posted not more than
three hundred (300) feet apart and at least three (3) were posted.
On January 7, 1980 at the hour of 7: 30 p .m. , in the Council
Chambers in the Civic Center, the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach did convene for the purpose of hearing all per-
sons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation of
parcels of land located north and south of Palm Avenue between
Twelfth and Thirteenth Streets , at which time no objection was
made to said vacation, and evidence was presented showing that
such parcels of real property located north and south of Palm
Avenue between Twelfth and Thirteenth Streets are not necessary

for present and prospective public street purposes and are not
suitable for use or development as bicycle paths or routes .
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington
Beach, pursuant to Division 9, Part 3 , Chapter 2 of the California
Streets and Highways Code, commencing with Section 8320, does
resolve that those portions of parcels of land located north
and south of Palm Avenue between Twelfth and Thirteenth Streets
are not necessary for present or prospective public street
purposes , and are not suitable for use or development as bicycle
paths or routes , and it is hereby
ORDERED that those portions of parcels of land located north
and south of Palm Avenue between Twelfth and Thirteenth Streets
be and the same is hereby vacated; and said portions of parcels
of land so vacated are more particularly described as follows:
Those portions of Lots 1 and 3 of Block 712
of Wesley Park Section, Huntington Beach, as
shown on a map recorded in Book 4 , page 17,
Miscellaneous Maps , records of Orange County,
California, described as follows:
Parcel 1: The southwesterly 10 .00 feet of said
Lot 1 .
Parcel 2: That portion lying southerly of a
curve concave northerly and having a radius of
32.00 feet, said curve being tangent on the
southwest to the northeasterly line of said
Parcel 2 and tangent on the southeast to the
southeasterly line of said Lot 3.
and
Those portions of Lots 26 and 28 of Block 612
of Huntington Beach Seventeenth Street Section
as shown on a map recorded in Book 41, page 10,
Miscellaneous Maps , records of Orange County,
California, described as follows:
Parcel 1: The northeasterly 10 .00 feet of said

Parcel 2: That portion lying northerly of a curve
concave southerly and having a radius of 32 .00

to the southwesterly line of said Parcel 2 and
tangent on the northwest to the northeasterly
line of said Lot 28 .
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 7th
day of January , 1980.
