HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 4857 RESOLUTION NO . 4857 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH PROVIDING THAT ALL BALLOTS BE COUNTED AT A CENTRAL COUNTING PLACE WHEREAS , it is desirable that all ballots cast at the general municipal election to be held in Huntington Beach on Tuesday, April 8 , 1980 be counted at a central place; and California Elections Code Section 17050 authorizes the City Council to provide that all ballots cast at said general municipal election be counted at a central location, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach as follows: SECTION 1. Pursuant to California Elections Code Sec- tion 17050, ballots cast by electors at the general municipal election to be held on Tuesday, April 8, 1980, shall be counted at a central place . SECTION 2. The Huntington Beach Civic Center (Data Processing) , 2000 Main Street, Huntington Beach, California is hereby designated as the place where such ballots shall be counted. SECTION 3. Notice of the central counting place is hereby given and the City Clerk is hereby authorized, instructed and directed to give such further or additional notice of the central counting place in time, form and manner as required by law. SECTION 4.
