A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF HUNTINGTON BEACH PROVIDING THAT ALL BALLOTS
BE COUNTED AT A CENTRAL COUNTING PLACE
WHEREAS , it is desirable that all ballots cast at the
general municipal election to be held in Huntington Beach on
Tuesday, April 8 , 1980 be counted at a central place; and
California Elections Code Section 17050 authorizes the
City Council to provide that all ballots cast at said general
municipal election be counted at a central location,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Huntington Beach as follows:
SECTION 1. Pursuant to California Elections Code Sec-
tion 17050, ballots cast by electors at the general municipal
election to be held on Tuesday, April 8, 1980, shall be counted
at a central place .
SECTION 2. The Huntington Beach Civic Center (Data
Processing) , 2000 Main Street, Huntington Beach, California is
hereby designated as the place where such ballots shall be
counted.
SECTION 3. Notice of the central counting place is hereby
given and the City Clerk is hereby authorized, instructed and
directed to give such further or additional notice of the central
counting place in time, form and manner as required by law.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
and adoption of this resolution; shall enter the same in the
book of original resolutions of said city; and shall make a
minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the
proceedings of the City Council of said city, in the minutes
of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted.

day of March, 1980 .

members of the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach is seven;
that the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative
vote of more than a majority of all the members of said City Council
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 17th day
of March , 1980 by the following vote;
