A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HUNTINGTON BEACH DESIGNATING RESTRICTED PARKING
AREAS ON PACIFIC COAST HIGHWAY
WHEREAS , pursuant to California Vehicle Code section 22506 ,
the City Council may, by resolution, prohibit or restrict
the parking of vehicles on a state highway within the city
limits when such state highway is also maintained by the
city,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Huntington Beach that it finds that it is in the city 's
best interest to prohibit parking and establish tow-away zones
on Pacific Coast Highway in the areas and during the hours
specified as follows , and that existing traffic conditions con-
stitute a public nuisance:
1 . No parking from 12 midnight to 5 a .m. on the oceanside
of Pacific Coast Highway from Warner Avenue east to mile marker
27 .5.
2. No parking at any time on either side of Pacific Coast
Highway from mile marker 27 .5 to mile marker 27.0 ( tow-away zone) .
3 • No parking on either side of Pacific Coast Highway from
8 p .m. to 5 a .m. from mile marker 27 .0 to Goldenwest Street
( tow-away zone) .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that upon the placing of appropriate
signs by the Director of Public Works , the parking prohibitions
and restrictions established by this resolution shall be of
full force and effect .

Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach, and ex-officio Clerk of the
City Council of said City, do hereby certify that the whole number of
members of the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach is seven;
that the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative
vote of more than a majority of all the members of said City Council
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 16th day
of June , 1980 by the following vote:
