RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HUNTINGTON BEACH ADOPTING A BUDGET FOR THE CITY
FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1980-81
The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. That the budget for the City of Huntington Beach for the fiscal
year 1980-81 as hereinafter set forth, is hereby adopted:

SECTION 2. That the City Administrator may transfer funds from one object
or purpose to another within the same department, office or agency, as set forth in
Section 605 of the City Charter.
SECTION 3. That the City Council may authorize all legal transfers not
described in Section 2 by minute action.
SECTION 4. That the Director of Public Works or the City Engineer may
approve change orders exceeding a project appropriation consistent with such limits as
may be set by the City Council.
SECTION 5. That within the fiscal year, the Director of Public Works shall
submit an appropriation revision request to the City Council appropriating funds for the
sum of change orders exceeding original project appropriations.
SECTION 6. That the City Administrator may authorize from the Capital
Outlay Fund acquisition of unappropriated items valued up to $2,000 and may authorize a
7% override for appropriated items.
SECTION 7. That within the fiscal year, the City Administrator shall submit
to the City Council such appropriation revisions necessary to establish appropriations for
capital items acquired under the City Administrator's authority as set forth in Section 6.

SECTION 8. That the City Council may authorize expenditures from other
funds which are now in existence or which might be created during the budget fiscal year
herein stated.
SECTION 9. That the City Council herein establishes a Contingency Fund for
purposes of supporting services to the public in the event of insufficient revenue and
other sources.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach
at a regular adjourned meeting thereof held on the 23rd day of June, 1980.

that the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative
vote of more than a majority of all the members of said City Council
at a regular Adjourned meeting thereof held on the 23rd day
