HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 4912 RESOLUTION NUMBER 4912 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH APPROVING COMPENSATION FOR CERTAIN NON-ASSOCIATED EMPLOYEES WHEREAS, certain employees of the City of Huntington Beach have elected not to be associated with or represented by an employee association; and Non-associated employees are those incumbents in the classifications listed below. Effective July 5, 1980, the salary ranges for said non-associated employees shall be as follows: Job No. Title Range Salary 1045 Administrative Analyst 295 1650 - 2042 i 1046 Administrative Analyst Sr. 318 1844 - 2285 1037 Administrative Assistant 339 2051 - 2539 0020 Assistant Personnel Director 351 2177 - 2697 0012 Assistant to City Administrator 361 2288 - 2836 1058 Budget Analyst 295 1650 - 2042 1059 Budget Analyst Sr. 318 1844 - 2285 1035 Compensation Administrator 339 2051 - 2539 1055 Workers Compensation Coordinator 318 1844 - 2285 0287 Director Personnel/Labor Relations 388 2617 - 3243 The Director of Personnel/Labor Relations shall be included in any Department Head merit plan and shall receive the same general increase, if any, granted to other Department Heads. Effective July 5, 1980 each employee covered by this resolution shall be reimbursed in an amount equal to seven (7%) percent of the employees base salary as pickup of the employee's contribution to the Public Employees Retirement System. The preceeding PERS pick up is not base salary but is done pursuant to Section 414(h)(2) of the Internal Revenue Code. For retirement purposes, such pickup shall be considered as compensation and the appropriate PERS deductions shall be made from said pickup. Employees covered by this resolution shall participate in all benefit programs enjoyed by other management personnel and authorized under the Management Employees Organization Resolutions. Said benefits shall include but not be limited to payoff limit of 720 hours of sick leave. Payoff to be consistent with MEO formula currently in effect. Such base hours beyond 720 may be used for purposes of illness only. Employees hired subsequent to the date of this Agreement shall accumulate sick leave for purposes of illness only. There shall be no payoff for unused sick leave upon termination of employment. Employees shall be limited to a vacation accrual of 320 hours in a calendar years. The City may reimburse the employee by separate check for vacation accrued in excess of 320 hours, however, said reimbursement is limited to no more than 40 hours in a calendar year. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach hereby approves the following salaries for non-associated employees: Non-associated employees shall continue to receive those benefits currently in effect.
