HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 4932 RESOLUTION NO. 4932 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH ESTABLISHING THE COMPENSATION OF THE CITY CLERK AND CITY ATTORNEY WHEREAS, the City- Council desires to establish appropriate compensation for the City Clerk and City Attorney, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach as follows: SECTION 1. Effective November 1, 1980, the salaries of the City Clerk and the City Attorney shall be as follows: City Clerk Range 343E $ 2588/month City Attorney Range 429E $ 3975/month In addition, effective November 1, 1980, each of the elected officials, covered by this resolution, shall be reimbursed an amount equal to 7 percent of the above-listed salaries as pickup of such official' s part of her PERS contribution, pursuant to California Internal Revenue Code section 414(h) (2) . Such pickup shall be considered as compensation for retirement purposes, and appropriate PERS deductions made in the names of such elected officials. SECTION 2. With respect to fringe benefits, as distinguished from salary, presently established for department heads by Resolutions No. 4353 and 4510, such benefits, and any future bene- fits established by resolution of the City Council for department heads, shall be accorded the City Clerk and City Attorney. SECTION 3. The compensation established herein shall be effective from and after the date set forth above and shall con- tinue until changed by subsequent resolution of the City Council. All other resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
