A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDERING THE VACATION OF
STORM DRAIN EASEMENTS LOCATED NORTH OF CENTER
DRIVE AND WEST OF BEACH BOULEVARD
WHEREAS, on December 1, 1980 the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach duly adopted Resolution No. 4944 declaring
its intention to vacate two storm drain easements generally lo-
cated north of Center Drive and west of Beach Boulevard, and
referring to maps or plans on file in the office of the City Clerk
for particulars as to the proposed vacation; and
Said resolution fixed the time and place of January 5, 1981
at the hour of 7: 30 p .m. , or as soon thereafter as the matter
could be heard, in the Council Chambers in the Civic Center, for
hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed
vacation, which time was not less than fifteen (15) days from
the passage of said resolution. Notices of the proposed va-
cation were posted conspicuously along the two storm drain ease-
ments, and such notices were posted not more than three hundred
( 300) feet apart and at least three (3) were posted.
On January 5, 1981 at the hour of 7: 30 p.m. , in the Council
Chambers in the Civic Center, the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach did convene for the purpose of hearing all per-
sons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation of
two storm drain easements, generally located north of Center
Drive and west of Beach Boulevard, at which time no objection
was made to said vacation, and evidence was presented showing
that the two storm drain easements proposed to be vacated are
not necessary for present and prospective public street pur-
poses and are not suitable for use or development as bicycle
paths or routes.

NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington
Beach, pursuant to Division 9, Part 3, Chapter 2 of the California
Streets and Highways Code, commencing with Section 8320, does
resolve that two storm drain easements , generally located north
of Center Drive and west of Beach Boulevard are not necessary
for present or prospective public street purposes, and are not
suitable for use or development as bicycle paths or routes, and
it is hereby
ORDERED that the two storm drain easements, generally lo-
cated north of Center Drive and west of Beach Boulevard, be and
the same are hereby vacated; and said storm drain easements so
vacated are more particularly described as follows:
Parcel 1 : An easement for storm drain purposes,
20. 00 feet wide, over those portions of Parcels 6
and 7 in the city of Huntington Beach, County of
Orange, State of California, as shown on a map
filed in Book 144, pages 31, 32 and 33 of Parcel
Maps in the office of the County Recorder of said
county, lying 10.00 feet on each side of the fol-
lowing described centerline:
Beginning at the southwesterly terminus of the
course shown as north 3903410411 east 148. 83 feet
on page 33 of said map, thence north 3903410411
east 148.83 feet to the beginning of a curve
concave southerly having a radius of 22.50 feet;
thence northeasterly, easterly and southeasterly
35. 34 feet along said curve through a central
angle of 90100100" ; thence south 50025 '56" east
59. 72 feet to the beginning of a curve concave
northerly having a radius of 22. 50 feet; thence
southeasterly and easterly 26.10 feet along said
curve through a central angle of 66027122" to
the northeasterly line of said Parcel 6.
Parcel 2: An easement and right-of-way for storm
drain purposes in, under and across a portion of
the east half of the northwest quarter of the
southeast quarter of Section 14 and a portion of
the south half of the northeast quarter of the
southeast quarter of said Section 14, Township
5 South, Range 11 West, S .B.B.&M. described as
follows:
Beginning at a point in the westerly line of said

east half distant thereon 10.00 feet northerly from
the southwest corner of said east half; thence
south 0°16126" west, along said westerly line,
50.00 feet to said southwest corner; thence easterly
and northerly along a curve concave northwesterly
and having a radius of 175.00 feet from a tangent
bearing south 89043' 34" east through an angle of
74014 ' 39" an arc distance of 226. 76 feet; thence
north 1204112411 east a distance of 205.98 feet;
thence north 39°03 '15 " east a distance of 43.45
feet; thence north 74041127" east a distance of
42. 33 feet; thence south 84035146 " east a distance
of 381 . 02 feet to a point in the easterly line of
said east half distant northerly thereon 342. 22
feet from the southeast corner of said east half;
thence continuing south 84035146" east along the
easterly prolongation of the last-mentioned course
212.76 feet; thence north 45059 '03" west a dis-
tance of 81. 57 feet; thence north 45023 '11" west
a distance of 82.16 feet; thence south 22°4 9 '2 5"
west a distance of 56. 91 feet; thence north
86°34' 31" west, 72.50 feet to a point in said
easterly line distant northerly thereon a distance
of 388. 44 from said southeast corner; thence con-
tinuing north 86034 ' 31" west along the westerly
prolongation of the last-mentioned course a dis-
tance of 377. 60 feet; thence north 85025146" west
a distance of 43 . 46 feet; thence north 16026141"
east a distance of 417. 35 feet; thence north
49029 ' 35" west a distance of 44 .11 feet; thence
south 15141 '09" west a distance of 521.35 feet;
thence south 18015128" west a distance of 205. 79
feet to a curve concave northwesterly having a
radius of 125.00 feet; thence southwesterly and
westerly along said curve from a tangent bearing
south 16 001 ' 47" west through an angle of 74 °14 ' 39
an are distance of 161. 98 feet to the point
of beginning.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 5th

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
