A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HUNTINGTON BEACH ADOPTING THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT
OF TRANSPORTATION MINORITY BUSINESS ENTERPRISE
PROGRAM AND AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC
WORKS TO APPOINT A MINORITY BUSINESS ENTERPRISE
COORDINATOR.
WHEREAS, the City of Huntington Beach has applied for
United States Department of Transportation funds; and
In order to receive such funds , the city is required to
comply with the Minority Business Enterprise Program as out-
lined in the Federal Register, dated March 31, 1980; and
The California Department of Transportation has developed
an approved Minority Business Enterprise Program for local
agencies, and the. City of Huntington Beach chooses to comply
with this state program and, as required, appoint a Minority
Business Enterprise coordinator to administer city projects.
The Council has reviewed and desires to adopt the state' s
Minority Business Enterprise Program and authorize the Director
of Public Works to appoint a program coordinator.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Huntington Beach as follows :
1. That the State of California Minority Business Enter-
prise Program, as approved by the United States Department of

Transportation, be adopted by the City of Huntington Beach.
2 . That the Director of Public Works be authorized to
appoint a city employee as Minority Business Enterprise co-
ordinator to administer City projects.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 2nd
day of February , 1981.

City Council of said City, do hereby certify that the whole number of
members of the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach is 'seven;
that the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative
vote of more than a majority of all the members of said City Council
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 2nd day
of February 19 81 by the following vote:
