A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HUNTINGTON BEACH APPROVING THE PRIORITY PLAN
FOR EXPENDITURE UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF THE
CALIFORNIA PARKLANDS ACT OF 1980

WHEREAS, the California Parklands Act of 1980 requires that
each county shall consult with all cities and districts within the
county which are eligible to receive grant funds under provisions
of section 5096. 156 of the Act and develop and ',submit to the
state for approval a priority plan for expenditure of the county' s
allocation; and
Said priority plan must be approved by at ',least 50 percent
of the cities and districts representing 50 percent of the popula-
tion of the cities and districts within the county; and
Said priority plan shall reflect consideration of deficiencies
within the county in the preservation of historical resources and
natural landscapes as well as in the provisionl'of recreational
areas and facilities; and
Said priority plan shall also reflect regional park or open
space needs as well as community and neighborhood park and rec-
reation needs in any county in which a regional', park or open space
district is wholly or partially located; and
Orange County has consulted this city, as ',required under
the provisions of the Act,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Cityl Council of the
City of Huntington Beach that it hereby approvers Alternative 3
of Exhibit "A" attached hereto as the priority (plan for expendi-
tures of Orange County' s allocation of funds under the California
Parklands Act of 1980.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk is ahuthorized and
directed to forward a certified copy of this resolution together

with Exhibit "A" to the Orange County Environmental Management
Agency for presentation to the Orange County Board of
Supervisors .
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of ,the City of
Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof Meld on the 2nd
day of March, 1981 .

local jurisdictions based on competitive prioritization of projects; balance allocated
based on pro rats population.

population in consideration of their "non-urban" status, there ore not qualifying for
urban grant Bond Act funds; balance allocated based on pro rat population.
