A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HUNTINGTON BEACH AUTHORIZING APPLICATION FOR A
COASTAL ZONE MANAGEMENT GRANT, PHASE II CERTIFI-
CATION OF THE LOCAL COASTAL PROGRAM, FROM THE
CALIFORNIA COASTAL COMMISSION TO IMPLEMENT THE
CALIFORNIA COASTAL ACT OF 1976
WHEREAS, the City of Huntington Beach recognizes the
problems and issues identified in the attached ',work program
for Phase II Certification of the Local Coastal Program, and
desires to continue to provide improved coastal planning, de-
cision making and management capability related to community de-
velopment and growth; and
The city has devised a package which deals with these
problems and issues, and desires to apply to the California
Coastal Commission for planning and financial assistance for
such program,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Huntington Beach hereby requests the California Coastal
Commission to provide planning and financial assistance not to
exceed Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000) . Such planning assis-
tance is more particularly described in the work program attached
hereto and made a part hereof as though set forth herein.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Administrator of the
City of Huntington Beach be, and he is hereby authorized and em-
powered to execute on behalf of the city all necessary applica-
tions, contracts and agreements , and any amendments thereto,
which implement and carry out the purposes specified in this
resolution.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council oflthe City of
Huntington Beach at an adjourned regular meeting thereof held

I, ALICIA M. WENTWORTH, the duly elected, qualified City
Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach, and ex-officio Clerk of the
City Council of said City, do hereby certify that the whole number of
members of the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach is seven;
that the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative
vote of more than a majority of all the members of said City Council
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 6th day
of July 1981 , by the following vote:
