A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF HUNTINGTON BEACH ESTABLISHING CHARGES TO
BE LEVIED BY CITY OFFICES FOR PROVIDING COPIES
OF PUBLIC RECORDS
WHEREAS, city offices from time to time are requested to
make copies of public records for members of the general
public ; and
There is occasioned to the city a cost for the making of
said copies ; and
Costs of preparation have increased and the City Council
desires to establish reasonable fees to recover the costs of
making said copies ; and
Fees specified herein do not exceed the cost of providing
the service or copy,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Huntington Beach as follows :
SECTION 1. The following fees and charges shall be col-
lected by city departments :
$ 2 for fingerprinting school and community college em-
ployees and applicants to be collected by the governing
board of such school or community college district and
paid to the city per California Education Code sec-
tions 45125 and 88024 .
$15 for fingerprinting persons who do not reside within
the city boundaries.
$10 for fingerprinting persons residing within the city.
$10 for processing permits to carry a concealed weapon.
$25 per hour (or any portion thereof) for cassette of ma-
terial on any master Communications Bureau tape.
$ 9 for duplicate copies of each traffic accident report

when such report consists of less than seven (7) pages .
Any duplicate copies of reports consisting of seven
( 7) or more pages shall cost $9 for the first six
(6) pages , and $1 per page for each additional page.
$ 3 for duplicate copies of each fire report when such
report consists of less than seven (7) pages. Any
duplicate copies of reports consisting of seven (7)
or more pages shall cost $3 for the first six (6 )
pages and $1 per page for each additional page.
$ 6 for each set of photocontact prints of collision scenes.
$10 for each 8" x 10" black and white photo enlargement of
collision or fire scenes.
$15 for each 8" x 10" color photo enlargement of collision
or fire scenes.
$ 4 for each 4" x 5" photo contact or enlargement of col-
lision or fire scenes .
$ .10 for duplicate documents from copy machine - per page of
letter and legal size sheets .
$ 1 for Department of Public Works city maps.
$ 1 . 50 for duplicate documents from microfilm - per page.
$ . 10 per printed page ( a leaf may contain two (2) pages) of
Huntington Beach Ordinance Code and Huntington Beach
Municipal Code.
$50 for the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code and Huntington
Beach Municipal Code.
$25 for annual renewal, January 1 , Huntington Beach Ordinance
Code and Huntington Beach Municipal Code.
$30 for Huntington Beach Ordinance Code or Huntington Beach
Municipal Code.
$20 for annual renewal, January 1, Huntington Beach Ordinance
Code or Huntington Beach Municipal Code.
$20 for Section District Map Book, Section 9061 , Huntington
Beach Ordinance Code.
$12 for annual renewal , January 1, Sectional District Map
Book, Section 9061 , Huntington Beach Ordinance Code .

$30 for Council and commission minutes subscription per
year, annual renewal, July 1 .
$30 for Council and commission agenda subscription per
year, annual renewal, July 1 .
$10 per hour listening time", city meeting tapes.
$10 per hour for cassette reproduction plus cost of cassette.
$30 address location map book.
$15 annual renewal, January 1, address location map book.
Department reports :
$ 2. 50 one to fifty pages .
$ 5 fifty-one to one hundred pages.
$ 7 over one hundred pages.
$ 6 charge by Treasurer' s office for collection of returned
checks presented for any service.
Base maps for the city shall be sold at the following rates :
$ 2 24" x 26" each.
$ 5 48" x 52" each.
$ 6 42" x 62" each.
$ 2 24" x 36" blueline print.
$ 3.50 24" x 36" each linen.
$10 Public Works standard plans.
$10 Tree and landscape standard plans .
SECTION 2. Where a copy of a public document which is not
covered by this resolution is properly requested by any person,
the city official who has custody of such document shall charge
and collect a fee therefor, which fee shall reasonably reflect
the cost of the production of the copy of such document as deter-
mined by that city official with the approval of the City
Administrator .

SECTION 3. The charges made by this resolution shall not ap—
ply to copies requested by or for city offices or employees for
the conduct of city business , or other governmental agencies.
SECTION 4. Resolutions No . 4460 , 4652, 4945 and all other
resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 17th
day of August 1981.

that the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative
vote of more than a majority of all the members of said City Council
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 17th day
of August 19 81 by the following vote:
