A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF HUNTINGTON BEACH DECLARING THAT THE PUBLIC
INTEREST AND NECESSITY REQUIRES THE DISPOSI-
TION OF CERTAIN SURPLUS PROPERTY, GENERALLY
LOCATED ON WARNER AVENUE EAST OF ASARI LANE
WHEREAS, the City of Huntington Beach is the owner of
certain real property, generally located on Warner Avenue east
of Asari Lane , and more particularly described as :
The east 40.00 feet of real property described
as that portion of the west half of the south-
east quarter of the southeast quarter of
Section 24, Township 5 South, Range 11 West
in the Rancho Las Bolsas, per map recorded in
Book 51, page 13 of Miscellaneous Maps in the
office of the County Recorder of Orange County
described as follows :
Beginning at a point on the centerline of
Warner Avenue, as said centerline is shown on a
map of Tract No. 6626, recorded in Book 249,
pages 9 and 10 of said Miscellaneous Maps , dis-
tant south 89032 ' 38" east, 55. 92 feet from the
intersection of said centerline with the
southerly prolongation of the centerline of
Asari Lane as said intersection is shown on the
map of said tract; thence at right angles to
the centerline of said Warner Avenue north
0027122" east, 57.00 feet to a point on a non-
tangent curve concave northwesterly and having
a radius of 226. 00 feet , a radial line of said
curve through said point bears south 0127122"
west, said curve being concentric with and
26.00 feet southeasterly from that certain curve
cited as being concave northwesterly , having a
radius of 200.00 feet, a central angle of
90109108" and a length of 314.69 feet in the
deed to the Orange County Flood Control District,
recorded February 14, 1963 in Book 6431, page 936
of official records in the office of said county
recorder; thence northeasterly 262.29 feet along
said curve through a central angle of 66029142";

thence south 89141146" east, 16.00 feet to the
east line of said west half; thence south 0018 ,14"
west, 192.91 feet, along said east line, to said
centerline of Warner Avenue, thence north 89°32' 38"
west, 223.76 feet along said centerline to the
point of beginning.
The City Administrator has recommended to this Council that
such real property be declared surplus ; and
Huntington Beach Municipal Code section 3 .06.010(b) au-
thorizes the city to dispose of surplus property, and sets out
procedures therefor,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington
Beach does find, determine and resolve as follows :
SECTION 1. That the real property described hereinabove
is surplus and that the public interest and necessity requires
the disposition thereof.
SECTION 2. That the City of Huntington Beach acquired such
real property by Grant Deed from Orange County Flood Control
District.
SECTION 3. That an independent appraisal shall be obtained
to establish the fair market value of the real property sought to
be disposed of, and such fair market value shall represent the
cost of city' s preparing land for sale , including appraisal fees.
SECTION 4. That the real property herein declared surplus
shall be sold for cash.
SECTION 5. The City Administrator is hereby authorized and
directed to execute all documents and take all steps necessary
to dispose of such surplus real property, pursuant to the deter-
minations of this Council and the procedures set forth in sec-
tion 3 .06.010 of the Huntington Beach Municipal Code.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 5th
day of October 1981.

I. ALICIA M. WENTWORTH, the duly elected, qualified City
Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach, and ex-officio Clerk of the
City Council of said City, do hereby certify that the whole number of
members of the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach is seven;
that the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative
vote of more than a majority of all the members of said City Council
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 5th day
of October I9 81 , by the following vote:
