HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 5049 RESOLUTION NO. 5049 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH ADOPTING FEE SCHEDULE FOR ORANGE COUNTY ANIMAL SHELTER AND ANIMAL CONTROL SERVICES WHEREAS, the City of Huntington Beach has contracted with the County of Orange since 1976 for animal control services and the use of the county animal shelter; and City has incorporated by reference in the Huntington Beach Municipal Code those portions of county ordinances which re- late to animal control, as required by city' s contract; and The Board of Supervisors of Orange County by resolution, pursuant to county ordinances, has revised the fees for animal shelter and control services , effective November 1, 1981; and The City Council, in compliance with provisions of the Huntington Beach Municipal Code and the contract hereinbefore entered into with the County of Orange, adopts the fee schedule for animal shelter and animal control services, as set forth on Attachment A, attached hereto and by this reference made a part hereof as though set forth in full herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach that it does adopt the fee schedule for animal shelter and animal control services as set out in Attach- ment A, attached hereto and by this reference made a part hereof. Individual Animal Licenses: Note 1. A dog license can be sold only for the period covered by a valid rabies vaccination certificate acceptable to the California Department of Health (Ca. Admin. Code 2606.4) . Note 2. The reduced fee for a neutered animal will be allowed only upon presentation of a certifi- cate of spaying, castration, or of the dog's inability to reproduce signed by a licensed veterinarian. Note 3. Any person who falAs to purchase or renew a license within fifteen (15) days after it has become due or expired shall be deemed delinquent and may be required to pay a late fee of five dollars ($5.00) in addition to the prescribed fee. Note 4. Once purchased, there will be no reftiind of license fees unless it is demonstrated that, at the time the license became effective, the animal was not subject to licensing.
