A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HUNTINGTON BEACH CALLING AND GIVING NOTICE OF
THE HOLDING OF A GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION IN
SAID CITY ON TUESDAY, APRIL 13 , 1982 FOR THE
ELECTION OF CERTAIN OFFICERS OF SAID CITY, AS
REQUIRED BY PROVISIONS OF THE CHARTER
WHEREAS, under the provisions of the Charter of the City
of Huntington Beach, a regular municipal election shall be held
on April 13 , 1982 for the election of four (4) members of the
City Council of said city for the full term of four (4) years ,
and a City Attorney for the full term of four (4) years ,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington
Beach does hereby resolve, declare, determine and order as fol-
lows :
SECTION 1. That , pursuant to the requirements of the Charter
of the City of Huntington Beach, there shall be, and there is
hereby called and ordered, held in said city on Tuesday, April 13,
1982 a regular municipal election of the qualified electors of
said city for the purpose of electing four (4) members of the City
Council of said city for the full term of four (4) years , and a
City Attorney of said city for the full term of four (4) years.
SECTION 2. That the ballots to be used at said election shall
be, both as to form and matter contained therein, such as may be
required by law to be used thereat.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk of said city is hereby au-
thorized, instructed and directed to procure and furnish any and
all official ballots, notices, printed matter and all supplies,
equipment and paraphernalia that may be necessary in order to
conduct said election properly and lawfully.
SECTION 4. That the polls for said election shall be open

at 7 a.m. of the day of said election and shall remain open con-
tinuously from said time until 8 p.m. of the same day when said
polls shall be closed, except as provided in California Elections
Code section 14301.
SECTION 5. That in all particulars not recited in this
resolution, said election shall be held and conducted as provided
by law for holding municipal elections in said city.
SECTION 6. That notice of the time and place of holding said
election is hereby given and the City Clerk is hereby authorized,
instructed and directed to give such further or additional notice
of said election in time, form and manner as required by law.
SECTION 7. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage
and adoption of this resolution, shall enter same in the book of
original resolutions of said city, and shall make a minute of
passage and adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings of
the City Council of said city in the minutes of the meeting at
which the same is passed and adopted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the Loth
day of January, 1982.

I, ALICIA M. WENTWORTH, the duly elected, qualified City
Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach, and ex-officio Clerk of the
City Council of said City, do hereby certify that the whole number of
members of the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach is seven;
that the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative
vote of more than a majority of all the members of said City Council
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 4th day
of January 1982 by the following vote:
