HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 5081 RESOLUTION NO. 5081 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH PROVIDING THAT ALL BALLOTS BE COUNTED AT A CENTRAL COUNTING PLACE WHEREAS, it is desirable that all ballots cast at the gen- eral municipal election to be held in Huntington Beach on Tuesday, April 13, 1982 be counted at a central place; and California Elections Code section 17050 authorizes the City Council to provide that all ballots cast at said general munici- pal election be counted at a central location, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach as follows : SECTION 1. Pursuant to California Elections Code section 17050, ballots cast by electors at the general municipal elec- tion to be held on Tuesday, April 13, 1982, shall be counted at a central place. SECTION 2. The Huntington Beach Civic Center (Data Processing) , 2000 Main Street, Huntington Beach, California is hereby designated as the place where such ballots shall be counted. SECTION 3. Notice of the central counting place is hereby given and the City Clerk is hereby authorized, instructed and di- rected to give such further or additional notice of the central counting place in time, form and manner as required by law. SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution; shall enter same in the book of original resolutions of said city; and shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City Council of said city in the minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted. SPECIAL HOLIDAY RATES: The rental will be double on the following holidays: Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, Thanksgiving and Easter. For all other City observed holidays add $10 or one-fourth of rental fee, whichever is greater. ADDITIONAL FEES $12/hour during normally closed hours or $24/hour if the entire library is rented, $15/hour for City-observed holidays. For special seating/banquet arrangements, special equipment and other extras; clean-up deposits and set-up fee will vary according to usage.
