A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HUNTINGTON BEACH TERMINATING THE SUNSET BEACH
WATER TOWER AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the City of Huntington Beach has entered into an
agreement with the City of Seal Beach and the Orange County
Harbors, Beaches and Parks District (DISTRICT) to restore a wooden
water tower and tank as a historically significant structure, lo-
cated in the city of Seal Beach; and
The City of Huntington Beach has received notice from DISTRICT
and the City of Seal Beach that the City of Seal Beach would not be
restoring the water tower; and
There is no longer a need for $12 ,000 in revenue sharing funds
appropriated by DISTRICT for such purpose; and
The City of Huntington Beach and the City of Seal Beach have
executed a settlement agreement and release of all claims regarding
the future sale of the land and water tower by Seal Beach; and
DISTRICT has requested that the Cities of Seal Beach and
Huntington Beach terminate the existing water tower agreement so
that the matter can be presented to the Orange County Board of
Supervisors for its concurrence,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Huntington Beach that, pursuant to the request of DISTRICT,
Agreement No. D77 080, entered into by DISTRICT, City of Seal
Beach and City of Huntington Beach, is hereby terminated subject
to the consent of the County of Orange and the City of Seal Beach.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 7th
day of June 1982.

that the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative
vote of more than a majority of all the members of said City Council
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 7th day
