A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HUNTINGTON BEACH ESTABLISHING THE COMPENSATION
OF THE CITY ATTORNEY
WHEREAS, the city Charter provides that a reasonable com-
pensation, including salary and fringe benefits, shall be es-
tablished for certain elected positions in the city government
and the City Council desires to establish an appropriate compen-
sation of the City Attorney by extending to the incumbent of such
position benefits as are afforded other department heads, including
those who are appointed,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Huntington Beach as follows :
SECTION 1. The City Attorney shall be compensated at Range 456,
"E" Step on the universal salary schedule , effective July 1, 1982.
SECTION 2. The City Attorney shall continue to receive such
other fringe benefits , including PERS pickup, as are now and in
the future shall be established for the appointed department heads
of the City of Huntington Beach.
SECTION 3. The compensation provided herein shall continue
in effect until changed by subsequent resolution of the City
Council.
SECTION 4. Provisions of any prior resolution or resolutions
of the City Council for the City of Huntington Beach providing for
compensation of the City Attorney which in any way conflict with
the provisions hereof are hereby repealed.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 21st
day of June , 1982.
