HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 5160 RESOLUTION NO. 5160 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH SUPPORTING ESTABLISHMENT OF COUNTY-WIDE INTEGRATED TRAFFIC SIGNAL SYSTEM WHEREAS, it has been proved that interconnected traffic sig- nal systems effectively provide orderly movement of traffic; and Efficient, progressive traffic movement can reduce con- sumption of energy and increase public safety; and The Master Plan of Arterial Highways for the County of Orange establishes a continuity of the highway system throughout the county; and The interconnection of traffic signal systems with adjacent cities in the County of Orange will assure the integrated move- ment of vehicular traffic on contiguous master-planned highways , NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach that it does support the establishment of a county-wide integrated traffic signal system.
