A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HUNTINGTON BEACH DECLARING THAT THE PUBLIC
INTEREST AND NECESSITY REQUIRES THE DISPOSITION
OF CERTAIN SURPLUS PROPERTY, GENERALLY LOCATED
ON WARNER AVENUE EAST OF ALGONQUIN STREET
WHEREAS, the City of Huntington Beach is the owner of
certain real property, generally located on Warner Avenue east
of Algonquin Street, and more particularly described as :
That portion of the northeast quarter of
fractional Section 29, Township 5 South,
Range 11 west, in the Rancho La Bolsa
Chica, in the City of Huntington Beach,
County of Orange, State of California,
as per map recorded in Book 51, page 13,
of Miscellaneous Maps, Official Records
of Orange County, California, also being
those portions of Lot 1 in Block 17 of
Tract No. 86, as shown on a map recorded
in Book 10, pages 35 and 36 of
Miscellaneous Maps, Official Records of
Orange County, California described as
follows:
Beginning at the northwest corner of the
northeast quarter of said fractional
Section 29, thence south 0*43122" east
368 .50 feet along the west line of the
northeast quarter of said fractional
Section 29 to a point on a curve concave
to the southeast and having a radius of
690.00 feet a radial line through said
point bears north 68*03148" west, said
curve being the northerly right-of-way of
Warner Avenue as described in an easement
deed to the City of Huntington Beach
recorded in Book 8269, pages 243 to 246
inclusive, Official Records of Orange
County, California; thence northeasterly
along said curve 330.18 feet through a
central angle of 27025 ' 03" to the true

point of beginning; thence continuing
along said curve 129 .09 feet through a
central angle of 10043110" to a point
on a nontangent line said line being
parallel with and 30 .00 feet south
measured at right angles to the north
line of the northeast quarter of said
fractional Section 29, a radial line
though said point bears north 29055135"
west; thence south 89039 ' 54" west
211.22 feet along said parallel line to
a point on a nontangent curve, concave
to the northeast having a radius of
300.00 feet, a radial line to said
point bears south 55150120" west;
thence southeasterly along said curve
through a central angle of 12103 ' 50" an
arc distance of 63.17 feet; thence
south 46013130" east 34.64 feet to a
curve concave to the north having a
radius of 30.00 feet; thence along said
curve through a central angle of 84*25 '
15" an arc distance of 44. 20 feet to
the true point of beginning.
and
The City Administrator has recommended to this Council that
such real property be declared surplus; and
Huntington Beach Municipal Code section 3 .06.010(b)
authorizes the city to dispose of surplus property, and sets out
procedures therefor,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington
Beach does find, determine and resolve as follows :
SECTION 1. That the real property described hereinabove is
surplus and that the public interest and necessity requires the
disposition thereof.
SECTION 2. That the City of Huntington Beach acquired such
real property by grant deed from the County of Orange.
SECTION 3. That an independent appraisal shall be obtained
to establish the fair market value of the real property sought
to be disposed of, and such fair market value shall represent
the cost of city's preparing land for sale, including appraisal
fees .

SECTION 4. That the real property herein declared surplus
shall be sold for cash.
SECTION 5. The City Administrator is hereby authorized and
directed to execute all documents and take all steps necessary
to dispose of such surplus real property, pursuant to the
determinations of this Council and the procedures set forth in
section 3 .06 .010 of the Huntington Beach Municipal Code .
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 15th
day of November, 1982.
