A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF HUNTINGTON BEACH TO REQUALIFY FOR THE
ORANGE COUNTY ARTERIAL HIGHWAY FINANCING PRO-
GRAM
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Huntington
Beach that :
1. The city has adopted a setback ordinance to protect
ultimate arterial highway rights-of-way.
2. The city has adopted ordinances to provide limited
access to the arterial highway system in order to protect the
integrity of the system.
3. The city' s Circulation Plan of Arterial Streets and
Highways conforms to that of the county except for the following:
(a) Extension of Edinger Avenue from westerly city
limits to Pacific Coast Highway, not shown on Huntington Beach
Circulation Plan.
(b ) Heil Avenue has been extended westerly from
Algonquin Street to Saybrook Lane, and the connection between
Heil Avenue and Edinger Avenue has been relocated from Algonquin
Street to Saybrook Lane.
(c ) The proposed alignment of Edwards Street between
Talbert Avenue and Palm Avenue extension varies from that
presently shown on the Orange County Master Plan of Arterial
Highways .
(d) Lake Street, between Garfield Avenue and Yorktown
Avenue, has been deleted.
(e) Talbert Avenue, between Goldenwest Street and
Edwards Street, has been deleted.
(f) Talbert Avenue, between the Bolsa Chica extension
and Edwards Street , has been reclassified from a primary to a

to a secondary arterial highway.
(g) Atlanta Avenue from Beach Boulevard to Lake Street
has been reclassified from a major to a primary arterial high-
way.
(h) Talbert Avenue between Gothard Street and Goldenwest
Street has been reclassified from a primary to a secondary ar-
terial highway.
(i) Adams Avenue between Brookhurst Street and the Santa
Ana River is classified as a major arterial highway.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 20th
day of June , 1983.

that the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative
vote of more than a majority of all the members of said City Council
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 20th day
of June 19 83 by the following vote:
