K .,.-a.� _,..+�. � 3.ww...., ..,... ur•..�+ ,�sxi:' E' �r�wri�3s6: ..._ RESOLUTION NO. 5324 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH ADOPTING THE CIRCULATION ELEMENT AMENDMENT TO THE GENERAL PLAN NO. 83-1. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach desires to update and refine the General Plan in keeping with changing community needs and objectives; and Amendments to the Circulation Element are necessary to accomplish refinement of the General Plan; and The Planning Commission has recommended the folowing amend- ments to the Circulation Element: 1. That the stun primary arterial between Palm Avenue and Pacific Coast Highway and approximately 3, 300 feet northwest of Goldenwest Street be deleted. 2. That the portion of Indianapolis Avenue between Beach Boulevard and Lake Street be deleted. 3. That the portion of Pacific Coast Highway between Goldenwest Street and the Santa Ana River be redesignated from primary to major arterial. 4. That the name of Argosy Drive be changed to Argosy Avenue. 5. That the name of Lake Street between Beach Boulevard and Garfield Avenue be changed to Main Street. 6. That the name of Gothard Street between Main Street and Pacific Coast Highway be changed to Seventeenth Street. 7. That the name Centex Avenue be added to the secondary arterial depicted north of Edinger Avenue between Gothard Street and Beach Boulevard. 8. That the realignment of Orange Avenue with Atlanta Avenue be depicted with a dashed line. 9. That the connection of Delaware Street to Atlanta Avenue be depicted with a solid line. 1. That the connection of Ellis Avenue between Gothard Street and the Pacific Electric right-of-way be depicted with a solid line. 12. That the connection of Saybrook Lane to Edinger Avenue be depicted with a solid line . 13. That Springdale Street south of Talbert Avenue be depicted with a solid line. 14. That the extension of Palm Avenue from Seaview Street into the Bolsa Chica area be deleted. WHEREAS, a public hearing on adoption of Circulation Element Amendment to the General Plan No. 83-1 was held by the Planning Commission on August 2, 1983, and the City Council on November 7, 1983, in accordance with provisions of the California State Government Code ; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach hereby approves said amendment to the General Plan of the City of Huntington Beach. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 5th day of December 1983.
