RESOLUTION OF THE HUNTINGTON BEACH REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
APPROVING THE ACQUISITION OF CERTAIN SURPLUS PROPERTY
FROM THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH
WHEREAS, the Huntington Beach Redevelopment Agency ("Agency") is responsible
for implementing the Main-Pier Redevelopment Survey Area, as amended; .and .
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach has declared certain
City-owned property within the Main-Pier Redevelopment Survey Area as surplus and
has approved the sale of said surplus property to the Huntington Beach Redevelop-
ment Agency at not less than fair market value, but under terms and conditions as
shall be established and approved by the Huntington Beach Redevelopment Agency; and
WHEREAS, Section 33396 of Article 7 of Division 24 of the California Health
and Safety Code provides that the Agency may accept conveyance of real property
owned by the City and that the Agency may dispose of such property for develop-
ment purposes, '
NOW, THEREFORE, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Huntington Beach
does resolve as follows:
Section 1: The Chief Executive Officer of the Redevelopment Agency is here-
by authorized and directed to have prepared for the Chairman's signature the appro-
priate documents needed to acquire from the City of Huntington Beach the surplus
property more particularly described as follows:
Parcel 1=
That portion of the west half of the northwest quarter of Section 13, Town-
ship 6 south, Range 11 west, in the Rancho Las Bolsas, City of Huntington
Beach, County of Orange, State of California, as per map recorded in Book 51,
Page 14 of Miscellaneous Maps in the office of the County Recorder of said
county, described as follows:
Beginning at the southeast corner of the land described in Parcel 2B of the
Lis Pendens in Case No. 123368 in the Superior Court of the State of Cali=z
fornia, for the County of Orange, a copy of which was recorded April 17, 1964
in Book 7921, page 424 of Official Records, being a point on the south line
of the north half of the southwest quarter of the northwest quarter of said
Section 13, easterly 379. 13 feet thereon from the westerly line of said sec-
tion; thence north 890 36' 56" east 146.83 feet along said south line to a
point easterly 525.96 feet thereon from said westerly line of Section 13,
being the intersection of a nontangent curve concave easterly, having a
radius of 272.50 feet, a radial to said curve at said intersection bears
south 450 21' 17" west; thence northwesterly 118.59 feet along said curve
through a central angle of 240 56' 04" ; thence south 890 36' 56" west 101.48
feet to the east line of said land described in said Parcel 2B; thence south
90 49' 49". east 101.38 feet-to the point of beginning.
Parcel 2
That portion of the northwest quarter of Section 13, Township 6 south, Range
11 west, in the Rancho Las Bolsas, in the City of Huntington Beach, County of
Orange, State of Califorfifa,-_as shown .on map recorded in Book 51, Page 14
of'Miscellaneous Maps, in the Office of the County Recorder of said County,
described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the easterly line of the westerly 489.55 feet of
said Northwest Quarter that is distant thereon South 00 40' 14" east 1071.80
feet from the northerly line of said Northwest Quarter, said point bei;ng,1
also the northeast corner of Parcel No. 1, in said City, County and State,
as shown on map filed in Book 25, Page 27 of Parcel Maps, Records of said
County; thence westerly along the northerly line of said Parcel No. 1, South
890 37' 06" west 257.33 feet to the northwest corner of said Parcel No. 1,
said last mentioned point being the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING for this descrip-
tion; thence continuing along the westerly prolongation of said northerly
line, south 890 37' 06" west 89.21 feet to the westerly line of the frontage
road shown as Parcel 1, as delineated and shaded on maps recorded on October
11, 1967 in State Highway Map Book 5, Pages 45 and 46, Records of Orange
County, as relinguished to the City of Huntington Beach by Instrument re-
corded February 26, 1968 in Book 8526, Page 461 of Official Records of
said County; thence southeasterly along said last mentioned westerly line
of the frontage road, South 090 49' 49" east 482.99 feet to the westerly
prolongation of the southerly line of said Parcel No. 1, as shown on said
map filed in Book 25, Page 27 of Parcel Maps; thence easterly along said
westerly prolongation, North 890 37' 06" East 89.21 feet to the southwest
corner of said last mentioned Parcel 1; thence northwesterly along the
.westerly line of said last mentioned Parcel No. 1, North 090 49' 49" West
482.99 feet to the TRUE POINT`'OF BEGINNING.
Section '2: The Redevelopment Agency shall hereby accept conveyance of said
property from the City of Huntington Beach for the fair market value of the pro-
perty which is determined to be ?405,536.*� The Agency will compensate the City
for said conveyance from, and at the times Agency receives, future tax increment
dollars. A ten percent (10%) annual interest rate shall be applied to any unpaid
balance of the original sales price from this day,:_forward until the full sales
price is paid.
