HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 5417 RESOLUTION NO. 5417 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 5159 ENTITLED, "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH ESTABLISHING A CITY FEE SCHEDULE" (SUPPLEMENTAL FEE RESOLUTION NO. 7) WHEREAS, on October 4 , 1982 , the City Council adopted Resolution No. 5159 establishing a fee schedule for the city; and The City Council desires to amend Section 13 of such reso- lution relating to rates for towing services and garage impounds rendered pursuant to police direction, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach that Section 13 of Resolution No. 5159 is amended to read as follows : SECTION 13. Maximum rates for towing services and garage impounds pursuant to police direction: 1. Towing of wrecks, impounds and arrests (up to and including 3/4-ton vehicles) , including 15 minutes of street cleanup and one extra hookup, if needed. A win- ching fee will be charged where the ve- hicle has to be brought back on the road- way for final hookup. Standby time will be charged after 30 minutes on the scene at $45 per hour. $ 45 2. Dolly fee 24 3. Outside storage of cars per day 7 Inside storage of cars per day 9 Outside storage of motorcycles per day 5 Inside storage of motorcycles per day 6 4. Storage per day as evidence for police department 2. 50 ahb 7/lo/84 1. 5, After business hours release $ 15 6. Minimum service call Normal business hours 15 After business hours 20 No towing involved. This includes starting vehicles, changing tires, and emergency repairs . Additional services may justify additional fees based on time , material and effort expended. Private party impounds, including first day storage 52 All of the above rates are doubled if the tow unit operator must get wet above the knees. The fees amended by this supplemental fee resolution shall be effective during fiscal year 1984-1985 and thereafter.
