HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 5421 RESOLUTION NO. 5421 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING THE CITY'S ANNUAL GOALS FOR THE MINORITY BUSINESS ENTERPRISE (MBE) PROGRAM, EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 1 , 1984 THROUGH SEPTEMBER 30, 1985 WHEREAS, the Surface Transportation Assistance Act of 1982 modified the rules regulating the Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) Program for federal-aid highway projects ; and The city has amended its annual goals to conform to such requirements, NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does resolve as follows : 1 . The annual overall goal for disadvantaged businesses (MBE) is hereby established at ten percent ( 10%) . 2. The annual goal for businesses owned and controlled by women (WBE) is hereby established at one percent ( 1%) . 3. The goals herein established shall be effective from October 1 , 1984 through September 30, 1985. 4. The City Clerk is directed to publish such goals in a newspaper of general circulation . PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 6th day of Augur , 1984.
