That the County of Orange has allocated $2 million for acquisition and development which is being held pending action on the Bolsa Chica Land Use Plan by the California Coastal Commission. The city has acquired 23.7 acres through park dedication, and recommends that the county actively pursue acquisition of real property within the park boundary. 2. That the City of Huntington Beach is assured that the County of Orange has irrevocably allotted $2 million for acquisition and development of Bolsa chica Linear Regional Park. 3. That the City of Huntington Beach may not be able to acquire all of the parkland by dedication. In some instances 1. outright purchase will be required. Therefore, funding sources must be preserved. 4. That particular attention be directed to the amount of park acreage to be designated and designed as environmentally sensitive areas (ESHA) so that such areas will not inhibit development and use of the linear park. It is recommended that such passive areas be located solely within the county' s juris- diction and designed as an asset to the park system, and that any parkland within the city' s boundary which might be desig- nated as an environmentally sensitive area be purchased by the County of Orange.
