A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HUNTINGTON BEACH APPROVING SALARY AND BENEFITS
FOR ELECTED DEPARTMENT HEAD POSITION OF CITY
ATTORNEY
WHEREAS, the city Charter provides that a reasonable com-
pensation, including salary and fringe benefits, shall be es-
tablished for certain elected positions in the city government,
and the City Council desires to establish appropriate compensa-
tion for the City Attorney,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Huntington Beach as follows:
SECTION 1: That the annual budget for fiscal year
1985-1986 shall reflect a 5;15 percent increase in salary for the
position of City Attorney which shall be effective July 11, 1985:
SECTION 2. That benefits for such elected department head
position shall be identical to the benefits for nonassociated
employees.-
SECTION 3: The salaries and benefits for the elected de-
partment head position of City Attorney, established for fiscal
year 1985-1986, shall remain in effect until changed by
resolution of the City Council.-
SECTION 4: Provisions of any and all other resolutions of
the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed

I, ALICIA M. WENTWORTH, the duly elected, qualified City
Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach, and ex-officio Clerk of the
City Council of said City, do hereby certify that the whole number of
members of the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach is seven;
that the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative
vote of more than a majority of all the members of said City Council
at a regular adjourned meeting thereof held on the 6th day
of August 1985 by the following vote:
