RESOLUTION NO. 5545
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDERING THE VACATION OF A
PORTION OF BLANTON STREET, SOUTH OF PEARCE AVENUE
WHEREAS, on July 1, 198�5 the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach duly adopted Resolution No. 5536 declaring
its intention to vacate a portion of Blanton Street, located
south of Pearce Avenue, for street purposes, and referring to
maps or plans on file in the office of the City Clerk for par-
ticulars as to the proposed vacation; and
Said resolution fixed the time and place of August 5, 1985
at the hour of 7 :30 p.m. , or as soon thereafter as the matter
could be heard, in the Council Chambers in the Civic Center,
for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the pro-
posed vacation, which time was not less than fifteen (15) days
from the passage of this resolution. Notices of vacation were
posted conspicuously along that portion of Blanton Street pro-
posed to be vacated, and such notices were posted not more than
three hundred (300) feet apart and at least three (3) were
posted.
On August 6 , 1985 at the hour of 7:30 p.m., in the Council
Chambers in the Civic Center, the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach did convene for the purpose of hearing all
persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation of
a portion of Blanton Street, south of Pearce Avenue, at which
time no objection was made to said vacation, and evidence was
presented showing that such portion of said street is not nec-
essary for present or prospective public use and is not
suitable for use or development as bicycle paths or routes..

NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington
Beach, pursuant to Division 9, Part 31 Chapter 3 of the
California Streets and Highways Code, commencing with sec-
tion 8320, does resolve that a portion of Blanton Street gen-
erally located south of Pearce Avenue, is not necessary for
present or prospective public use, and is not suitable for use
or development as bicycle paths or routes, and it is hereby
ORDERED that a portion of Blanton Street, south of Pearce
Avenue, is hereby vacated; and that portion of said street so
vacated is more particularly described as follows:
The west 3 .00 feet of the east 5.00 feet of
Lot 10 of Block "E" of Tract 349, as shown
on a map recorded in Book 15, page 17,
Miscellaneous Maps of the County Recorder of
Orange County, California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach at an adjourned, regular meeting thereof held
on the 6th day of August, 1985.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF

IHEREAS, on ,;: ly 1, 1985 the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach duly adopted Resolution No. 553E declaring
its intention to vacate a portion of Blanton Street, located
south of Pearce Avenue, for street purposes, and referring to
maps or plans on file in the office of the City Clerk for parr
ticulars as to the proposed vacation; and
Said resolution fixed the time and place of August 5, 1985
at the hour of 7 :30 p.m. , or as soon thereafter as the matter
could be heard, in the Council Chambers in the Civic Center,
for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the pro-
