A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING RESOLUTION
NO. 5159 ENTITLED, "A RESOLUTION OF THE
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH ESTABLISHING A CITY
FEE SCHEDULE (SUPPLEMENTAL FEE RESOLUTION
NO. 18 )
WHEREAS, on October 4, 1982, the City Council adopted
Resolution No. 5159 establishing a fee schedule for the city; and
The City Council desires to amend Section 13 of such
I resolution relating to rates for towing services and garage
impounds rendered pursuant to police direction, by adding fees to
cover private party impounds, fees to defray administration costs
to process applications for towing operation permits and tow unit
operator permits, fees related to a change of ownership, change of

business location, and permit renewals.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Huntington Beach that Section 13 of Resolution No. 5159 is
amended to read as follows:
SECTION 13. Maximum rates for towing services and garage
f impounds pursuant to police direction, private party impounds, and
fees to cover administrative costs:
1. Towing of wrecks, impounds , arrests, and owner ' s
requests, (up to and including 3/4 ton vehicles) ,
including 15 minutes of street cleanup and one extra
hookup, if needed. A winching fee will be charged
where the vehicle has to be brought back on the
roadway for final hookup. Standby time will be
charged after 30 minutes on the scene at $50 per
hour . $50

No towing involved, this includes starting
vehicles, changing tires, and emergency
repairs . Additional services may justify
additional fees based on time, materials and
efforts expended.

in residences, in ditches, etc. 30
Two ton truck, wheel lift and flatbed 65

8. Private party impounds, including first day

This fee shall include any special conditions
such as flatbed requirements, dolly fee,
winching, and any other associated fees.
All of the above rates are doubled if the tow
unit operator must get wet above the knees .

Resolution No. 5417 (Supplemental Fee Resolution No. 7) and
all other resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 21st
day of July , 1986.
