HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 5686 RESOLUTION NO. 5686 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH APPROVING SALARY AND BENEFITS FOR POSITION OF ELECTED CITY CLERK WHEREAS, the city Charter provides that a reasonable com- pensation, both salary and fringe benefits, shall be estab- lished for certain elected positions of the city; and The City Council finds, after comparing the compensation received by clerks performing similar duties in cities of les- ser size, that an adjustment in compensation for the position of city clerk is justified, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach as follows: SECTION 1. That the annual budget for fiscal year 1986-1987 shall reflect an increase in salary for the position of city clerk. SECTION 2 . That the salary for the position of city clerk shall be increased ten ranges on July 1, 1986 and an additional three ranges on December 27, 1986, and fringe benefits shall be the same as those awarded to non-represented employees, in- cluding appointed department heads . SECTION 3 . That the salary and benefits, as established herein by the City Council, shall remain in effect until changed by succeeding resolution. SECTION 4. That all resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of 1.
