A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH INCREASING LATE
FEES FOR DOG LICENSE RENEWAL AND TO ESTAB-
LISH FEES FOR THE RELINQUISHMENT OF AN
ANIMAL AND FOR THE QUARANTINE OF AN ANIMAL
ON THE OWNER' S PREMISES
WHEREAS, The Orange County Health Care Agency is proposing to
increase the late fee for dog license renewal, and to establish
fees for the relinquishment of an animal and for the quarantine of
an animal on the owner ' s premises ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that on July 1, 1986, the City
Council adopted the following :
1. As provided for in Section 4-1-72 of the Codified
Ordinances of the County of Orange, the late fee for dog license
renewal shall be $10. 00.
2. As provided for in Section 4-1-110 of the Codified
Ordinances of the County of Orange, the fees for the
relinquishment of an animal shall be:
a. Each adult animal �5. 00
b. Each litter ( including
adult female, if present) �5. 00
3. As provided for in Sections 4-1-18 and 4-1-61 of the
Codified Ordinances of the County of Orange, the fee for
conducting the quarantine of an animal on the owner' s premises
shall be �25. 00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Huntington Beach City
Council finds that in accordance with Section 21030( b) ( 8) of the
California Public Resources Code, the fees listed herein above are

only for the purpose of meeting operating expenses and are,
therefore, exempt from compliance with the California
Environmental Quality Act.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 4th day
of August , 1986.
