RESOLUTION AMENDING ARTICLE 6 .F. OF THE
MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AND THE HUNTINGTON
BEACH MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES ' ASSOCIATION
WHEREAS, the designated representatives of the City of
Huntington Beach and the Huntington Beach Municipal Employees '
Association (MEA) have met and conferred in good faith with
respect to the subject of this Amendment;
NOW THEREFORE, this Amendment to the Memorandum of
Understanding is made, to become effective the 19th day of
October, 1987 and it is agreed that said Memorandum of
Understanding, Article 6 .F . be amended to read as follows:
F . The following are paid holidays:
1 . New Year 's Day
2 . Washington's Birthday (third Monday in February)
3 . Memorial Day ( last Monday in May)
4 . Independence Day (July 4 )
5 . Labor Day (first Monday in September )
6 . Veteran ' s Day (November 9, 1987 )
7 . Thanksgiving Day (fourth Thursday in November )
8 . The Friday after Thanksgiving
9 . Christmas Day (December 25 )
10 . Martin Luther King, Jr . , (third Monday in January)
11 . Any day declared by the President of the United
States to be a national holiday or by the Governor
of the State of California to be a state holiday and
adopted as an employee holiday by the City Council
of Huntington Beach.
All other terms and conditions not specifically amended
herein shall remain the same.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 2nd
day of November , 1987 .
