A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF HUNTINGTON BEACH APPROVING SALARY AND
BENEFITS FOR THE ELECTED DEPARTMENT HEAD
POSITION OF CITY CLERK
WHEREAS, the City Charter provides that reasonable
compensation, including salary and fringe benefits , shall be
established for certain elected positions in the city government
and the City Council desires to establish an appropriate
compensation for the City Clerk by extending to the incumbent of
such position benefits which are afforded other department heads ,
including those which are appointed,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Huntington Beach hereby approves salary and benefits for
the elected department head position of City Clerk, as follows :
SECTION 1 . The salary for City Clerk shall mean compensation
paid for the elected City Clerk shall be increased to Range 446
on Universal Salary Schedule, effective April 11, 1988 which is
the beginning of the pay period.
SECTION 2 . Benefits for the elected department head position
of City Clerk shall be identical to the non-safety retirement ,
medical and related insurance, vacation, sick leave, holiday and
auto allowance benefits for the city ' s non-associated employees .
SECTION 3 . The above salary and benefits for the position of
City Clerk shall remain in effect until changed by resolution of
the City Council.

SECTION 4 . Provisions of any and all other resolutions of
the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach which are in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 2nd
day of May 1988.
