HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 5916 i RESOLUTION NO. 5916 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH ESTABLISHING THE CONCEPTUAL MASTER PLAN BOUNDARY OF THE CIVIC CENTER COMPLEX WHEREAS, a conceptual Master Plan has been prepared for the long-term operation and expansion of the Civic Center; and Sufficient land area must be retained to accommodate the long-term parking and building needs; and Adequate vehicle circulation and access must be retained for the Civic Center; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach hereby establishes the conceptual boundaries of the Civic Center Master Plan to be defined by Main Street to the west, Yorktown Avenue to the north, and the realignment of Seventeenth Street to Utica Avenue and Lake Street to the south and southeast . The location of those boundaries is more particularly depicted in Exhibit A, attached hereto. FURTHER RESOLVED, that selection of this conceptual boundary shall establish the framework for acquisition negotiations with the adjacent landowner; and FURTHER RESOLVED, that a future zone change of the adjacent property necessary for the expanded Civic Center Complex from R1-O-CD to CF-C and a precise plan of street alignment for Seventeenth Street will be necessary.
