HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 6101 RESOLUTION NO. 6101 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH ESTABLISHING NEW SCHEDULE OF RATES FOR TAXICAB COMPANIES WHEREAS, an increase in rate schedule has been requested for taxicab companies operating in the City of Huntington Beach; and Pursuant to §5.48 . 100 of the Huntington Beach Municipal Code, the City Council has held a public hearing to consider such request for modification of existing rates; and The City Council finds that such increase in the schedule of rates for taxicab companies is equitable in the circumstances, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach that the following schedule of rates for taxicab companies operating in this City shall be: 1. One dollar ninety cents ($1. 90) for the first one-eighth (1/8) mile. 2 . Twenty cents ($.20) for each additional one-eighth (1/8) mile. 3 . Twenty dollars ($20.00) per hour for waiting time and traffic delay. 4 . No charge will be made for additional passengers, and five (5) passengers may ride for the price of one. 5 . There shall be no charge for any cancellation after a taxi has been dispatched. 6 . Pursuant to request for service, there shall be no charge for the first three minutes while waiting to pick up passengers . -1- Resolution No. 4995, 4676, 4799 and all resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
