A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HUNTINGTON BEACH ESTABLISHING COMPENSATION
FOR NON-PERMANENT EMPLOYEES
WHEREAS, the city employs persons in positions which are not in the competitive
service and desires to maintain a compensation schedule for such positions; and
Persons employed in such positions have not had a salary adjustment since March 11,
1989; and
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach resolves as
follows:
1. "Non-permanent employees" shall be defined as follows:
NON-PERMANENT EMPLOYEE. A positioA not in the competitive
service in which a pers41% is employed part time and/or on an irregular
basis, JacAldinS seasonal. 'limited term, on-call, emergency, intermittent
ah3 Substitute employees. Such employees are excluded from PERS
membership.
2. The city hereby establishes a five percent salary increase effective March 17,
1990, which is incorporated into the salary schedules for non-permanent employees
marked Exhibits "A" and 'B", attached hereto and incorporated by reference herein.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 20th day of February , 1990.
