HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 6214 RESOLUTION .6214 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH APPROVING AND IMPLEMENTING THE AMENDMENT TO THE MANAGEMENT EMPLOYEES ORGANIZATION MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does resolve as follows: The amendment to Resolution 5941 (Memorandum of Understanding Between the City and the Management Employees Organization) a copy of which amendment is attached hereto and by reference made a part hereof, is hereby approved and ordered implemented in accordance with the terms and conditions thereof, and the City Administrator is authorized to execute this amendment. Such amendment shall be effective July 1, 1990. 1 -- Mayor ATTEST: APPROVED AS TO FORM: City Clerk 6i�� 4-;&CitZyAttorney*1W /%v REVIEWED AND APPROVED: INITIA D APPROVED: City A ministrator eputy Cit A inistra r 5395j AMENDMENT TO MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH (HEREIN CALLED "CITY") AND THE MANAGEMENT EMPLOYEES'ORGANIZATION (HEREIN CALLED "ASSOCIATION") The representatives of the City and the Association have met and conferred on the issues surrounding the need to encourage those responsible for building construction plan checking to become more knowledgeable and to stay current on new and changing requirements in their field and hereby agree to the following changes to the MOU between the City and Association dated July 1, 1988. ARTICLE 19 SPECIAL PAY A. Plan Checker Building Senior 1. Effective July 1, 1990, the Senior Engineer classification title will be changed to Plan Checker Building Senior and incumbents must obtain I.C.B.O. (International Conference of Building Officials) certification as a Plans Examiner within twelve (12) months of appointment. 2. Effective July 1, 1990 and for the duration of this agreement, incumbents who have completed their probationary period in the class of Plan Checker Building Senior and who have obtained registration as a Civil Engineer or Architect from the State of California shall receive additional compensation in the amount of two hundred fifty dollars ($250) per month, provided that active registration is maintained.
