HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 6219 RESOLUTION 6219 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH APPROVING AND IMPLEMENTING THE AMENDMENT TO THE MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does resolve as follows: The amendment to Resolution 5978 (Memorandum of Understanding Between the City and the Municipal Employees Association) a copy of which amendment is attached hereto and by reference made a part hereof, is hereby approved and ordered implemented in accordance with the terms and conditions thereof, and the City Administrator is authorized to execute this amendment. Such amendment shall be effective July 1, 1990. Mayor ATTEST: APPROVED AS TO FORM: a4k _ City Clerk City Attorney io y REVIEWED AND APPROVED: INITIATED AND APPROVED: { ity A mmistrator Deput ty Administrat r t z 5395j AMENDMENT TO MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH (HEREIN CALLED "CITY") AND THE MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION (HEREIN CALLED "ASSOCIATION) The representatives of the City and the Association have met and conferred on the issues surrounding the need to encourage those responsible for building construction plan checking to become more knowledgeable and to stay current on new and changing requirements in their field and hereby agree to the following changes to the MOU between the City and Association dated July 1, 1988. ARTICLE 36 SPECIAL PAY A. Plan Checker Senior 1. Effective July 1, 1990, and for the duration of this agreement, incumbents who have completed their probationary period in the class of Plan Checker Senior who are regularly assigned to the Building Division and who have attained certification as Plans Examiner by I.C.B.O. (International Conference of Building Officials) shall receive additional compensation in the amount of one hundred dollars ($100) per month, provided that active certification is maintained. 2. Effective July 1, 1990, and for the duration of this agreement, incumbents in the class of Plan Checker Senior who are regularly assigned to the Building Division and who have successfully completed the State of California examination for Engineer-in-Training or who have obtained an Associate of Arts degree in engineering or equivalent major, shall receive additional compensation in the amount of one hundred fifty dollars ($150) per month. 6219 B. Plan Check Coordinator. Effective July 1, 1990, and for the duration of this agreement, incumbents in the class of Plan Check Coordinator who are regularly assigned to the Building Division and who have attained certification as either a Plans Examiner or a Building Inspector by I.C.B.O. (International Conference of Building Officials) shall receive additional compensation in the amount of one hundred dollars ($100) per month, provided that active certification is maintained.
